It is amazing how social media can bring people together! A sweet friend of mine tagged me in an Instagram post when StokedYogi was looking for her next surf and yoga travel vacation. After a few “back and forth” direct messages, we moved to communicating by email and soon their trip was on the calendar to visit Blue Surf Sanctuary in a few short weeks. She and her husband travel to amazing surf spots around the world and share their experiences with their many social media followers. How lucky were we to have them come and stay with us? Pretty darn lucky I would say.
Part of the agreement of staying with us was to record and produce a video of our property and the area. She and her hubby (who is a videographer) ventured out around the area and found some great shots of the beach as well as the “road less traveled” in and around the Santa Teresa area. They captured not only the beauty of the area, but the fun, chill vibe that we exude here at Blue Surf Sanctuary. I especially love the segment where she interviews Sophia—who has worked for Blue Surf since the beginning. She knows the area well and is a surfer herself. Keep in mind Sophia’s husband, Toro, is our lead surf instructor and one of the most well respected surfers in the area—be sure to grab a lesson with him while you are here!
Splashing around in our refreshing pool in the heat of the afternoon or taking a siesta on our hanging beds seem to be one of their favorite things to do while enjoying the Pura Vida—why not? They were on vacation! I think drinking a cup of coffee, watching the neighborhood squirrels and birds frolic may have to rank up there, too! That is one of the best parts of staying here. There is no pressure—not even a little bit. You can do what you want, when you want. You are in the middle of the jungle, yet perched a short one minute (or less) walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. When you are here, it is the perfect time to take advantage of living in the moment—remembering to be one with nature and leave all your worries behind.
